I walk across a vast desert plain. Mountains rise in the distance, purple against the open, sepia sky, sand stretching endlessly around me.
Within me, a glowing light moves as I walk.
And then I notice, scattered across the mountains, across the desert.
Other lights flickering, shining, a village ahead, radiant.
The light connects, radiating warmth, illuminating, guiding, a sense of comfort, joy, a deep connection. When I stop and look within, I see this connection.
With the one, with the infinite, with one another.
It is warmth, it is empowerment, it is beauty.
And yet, when I shift my angle.
I then forget. I see only myself. I see only the faces of others. The light seems to change, and I lose sight of the beautiful connection within. Sometimes the ego is more powerful than I realize. It pulls me into self, into obstacles, into problems, into the weight of what I must do today.
The ego makes everything feel separate.
Barriers, walls, stress. But when I shift my perspective, I see, again, the truth.
The warmth, the love, the light, the connection of all things.
This communion is always here. The beauty is always greater. It only waits for me to turn from the ego and look towards the light.
